Description
For ANCI, we designed two exhibitions for two different one-day events in New York. In 2010, we designed an experience around a central display of shoes designed by lead designers. To represent each of Italy’s four shoemaking regions, we designed four zones with glowing tables, media screens and seating.
In 2009, we designed an exhibition at the MoMA that showcased the history of platform shoes in Italy. Original shoes from the 1920s through the 1970s were brought from Italian museums and placed in individual cases. The cases were placed in a perfect grid, resulting in an installation that occupied the entire space and allowed visitors to meander through this unique shoe collection. This installation was a modular system designed to be easily assembled and dismantled for a cocktail and press event.
